The questions partners and prospects ask most often, organized so you can find what you need quickly.
TechRadar is an AI product from 1Stream, now in beta, that turns your service-desk calls into coaching. Every call is scored across seven quality dimensions, recurring client issues and burnout-risk signals get flagged early, and coaching proposals arrive with evidence attached for your managers to approve. It runs on the 1Stream platform you already use, with nothing new asked of your techs. Follow one call through TechRadar →
1Stream is the rebranded version of bvoip. Same company, same platform, same team. The bvoip name had become limiting, we’re no longer just business voice. Our platform now spans UCaaS, CCaaS, AI agents, integrations, BI, and more. 1Stream signals what we’ve become: one connected platform unifying everything an MSP needs to communicate.
No. We’re channel-only and have been since 2014. The only way an end-client gets 1Stream is through one of our MSP partners. We don’t have a direct sales team and we route inbound demo requests from end-clients to a partner in their region.
USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. We run private cloud locations across these regions, including Ashburn, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Toronto, London, and Sydney, with multiple facilities in several cities. All facilities peer with tier-1 carriers in their region.
No. Our 200+ integrations are part of the unified platform, they aren’t sold a-la-carte or as bolt-ons. The reason: integrations work as well as they do because they’re native to the platform, not stitched on top of someone else’s. To get the integration platform, you need to be on our cloud PBX and UCaaS.
No. 1Stream is a cloud-only offering. We don’t support self-hosted or on-premise installations. That’s deliberate, trying to support both deployment models means cutting corners on one of them. We chose cloud and we’ve invested in private cloud locations across three continents, redundancy, and tier-1 carrier peering instead.
Yes, we ship 200+ new features per year, most coming from partner requests. We have a Partner Advisory Council and Integration Board that prioritize the roadmap. We also do custom integrations on request. Our default position is “tell us what you need.”
Seven agents: AI Attendant (modern auto-attendant), Caller ID & Verification, Intelligent Routing, Triage, Notetaking + Transcription + Analysis, Alerting & Notification, and Signal (on-call escalation). They’re available in our Intelligence plan tier.
The AI agents support major languages including English, Spanish, French, German, and others. Specific language support depends on the agent, transcription has the broadest coverage. We can confirm specifics during a demo.
AI processing runs through the AI vendor you bring and connect to your tenant, under that vendor’s terms, so your data goes only where you have chosen to send it. Recordings and transcriptions are stored per your tenant’s configured retention policy. We don’t use customer data to train models, and we don’t share data across tenants. For HIPAA-affected workflows, BAAs are available.
Yes. We assist with number porting as part of our onboarding process. We work with you to submit the carrier-to-carrier port and coordinate the cutover with you so there are no surprises. Most ports complete in 2–3 weeks depending on the losing carrier.
Yealink, Polycom, Cisco, Grandstream, Snom, Algo paging, and most major SIP-compatible devices. We provision and ship pre-configured handsets to your clients, or we can support BYOD if they’re bringing existing hardware.
Yes, it’s one of our most-deployed features. Our Nucleus product handles Teams direct routing including SBC, presence sync, operator panel, and PSA integration inside Teams. It’s a hybrid model so partners can offer Teams-based voice without having to commit clients to Microsoft’s calling plans.
We partner with SIP trunking providers for calling plans that connect into the platform. You can bring your own in many cases, or we can recommend options for international calling.
Our SOC 2 Type II audit is in progress. In the meantime we can share our security overview and controls documentation under NDA; ask your channel team during the partner conversation.
Yes. Business Associate Agreements are available for partners whose end-clients have HIPAA obligations. We support encrypted call recording, restricted access controls, and the audit logs HIPAA requires.
Configurable per tenant. Standard retention is included; longer windows or higher-volume archival is priced separately. Legal hold flags pause deletion. Recordings can be exported, archived externally, or deleted on demand. Discuss specific retention requirements with your channel team.
Your account is provisioned in the data center region you select when you start your account. Data never leaves that region unless you integrate a third-party account such as a CRM / PSA, external storage for archiving, or an AI vendor. You have control over how long data is retained and can adjust your settings as you go.
For partners: 2–3 weeks from application to first running client. Application + qualification (~1 week), platform training (~1 week), first client onboarding (1–2 weeks depending on PSA complexity and number porting). Most partners are running their first client within 2 weeks of approval.
We qualify partner program fit first, then walk you through the platform in a live session with our team. Hands-on access is arranged as part of partner onboarding rather than as a self-serve trial.
Yes. We run a 6-day-a-week, three-shift global support schedule covering North America, Europe, and APAC, with on-call coverage outside that. Our support is partner-only, we’ll only talk to your end-client if you conference us in. Phone, ticket, chat, and self-guided documentation all available.
White-glove onboarding for new partners: live training, a dedicated implementation specialist, project-assistance hours, sales playbooks and pricing tools, marketing assets, and access to our Academy, a self-guided video resource library covering both technical and sales topics.
We assign a backup rep at the start of every relationship and document everything in our partner CRM. Continuity is built into the program, not dependent on individuals.
Our team is on Slack, on the phone, or available for a 20-minute demo. Pick the option that fits your schedule.
